β How do I convey the complex emotional hardship and other conflicts faced during adolescence through portraiture?
My concentration is an investigation revolved around the inner demons as well as various conflicts faced during the time of adolescence.
My first concentration last year was based on the concept of excessive manipulation in the media creating unrealistic standards of beauty. I feel as if my new concentration is able to be built off of my last concept, because they both address the societal issue of unrealistic beauty standards and the major influence on teensβ search for self expression and their own identity.
